Automated event reminders
Turn on automated reminders (a Zillo Pro feature) and Zillo emails ticket and booking customers before their event, so fewer people forget and no-shows drop.
Automated event reminders
A customer who bought a ticket three weeks ago can easily forget the date. Automated reminders email them a friendly nudge before their event — "your class is tomorrow" — so more people turn up and you lose fewer seats to no-shows.
Reminders are part of Zillo Pro. They go out for any product with a scheduled date and time — event tickets and appointment / reservation bookings.
Turn it on
- Add Zillo Pro from Settings → Add-ons if you haven't already.
- Open Settings → Growth.
- Tick Send automated event reminder emails, choose how many hours before the start time to send, and save.
How it works
Zillo checks your upcoming events and sends each customer one reminder the set number of hours before it starts — 24 hours by default, adjustable from 1 hour up to 7 days (168 hours).
- Each ticket or booking is reminded once, so customers never get duplicate emails.
- Reminders are transactional — they only go to people who actually bought, about the thing they bought. They're not marketing.
- The email uses your storefront branding automatically.
Want to change the wording? Edit the Event reminder email under Settings → Email once the feature is switched on.
Good to know
Gift cards, vouchers and memberships don't have a fixed event time, so they don't receive reminders. To ask customers to come back and review what they bought, use review-request emails instead.
