Building custom reports
The standard reports and CSV export are free for everyone. With Zillo Pro you can also build your own report — describe it to AI or configure it by hand, preview it, save it, and export it to CSV.
Building custom reports
Your standard reports — Sales, Orders, Customers, Gift cards, and the rest — are free for everyone, and so is exporting any of them to CSV. Zillo Pro adds a builder where you create exactly the report you want.
The custom report builder is part of Zillo Pro. The built-in reports and their CSV export stay free.
Build one with AI
- Open Reports → Custom report builder.
- Describe what you want in the box — e.g. “monthly gift-card revenue this year” or “new customers in the last 90 days”.
- Click "Build with AI". We fill in the source, columns, filters, and grouping for you. Tweak anything below, then preview.
Or configure it by hand
- Pick a data source (orders, customers, gift cards, tickets, and more) and a date range.
- Tick the columns you want to see.
- Add filters to narrow it down (status, source, amount, and so on).
- Optionally group by day, week, or month and choose a measure — a count, or a sum of a money column like total or balance.
- Click Preview to see the result, then give it a name and Save.
Grouped reports (e.g. revenue by month) are calculated for you and show one row per period — great for spotting trends.
Export and re-use
Saved reports appear in a list under the builder. From there you can re-open one to edit it, or download the latest data as a CSV anytime — the export always runs your saved report against your current data.
A custom report only ever shows your own store's data, and only the columns you chose. If you cancel Zillo Pro, your saved reports are kept but the builder and custom exports pause until you add Pro again — your free standard reports keep working.
