Recover abandoned carts
Turn on abandoned cart recovery (a Zillo Pro feature) and Zillo automatically emails customers who start checkout but don't pay, with a one-click link back to their cart.
Recover abandoned carts
Some customers reach checkout, enter their details, and then don't pay. Abandoned cart recovery emails them a friendly reminder a few hours later with a link straight back to their cart, so you win back sales you'd otherwise lose.
Abandoned cart recovery is part of Zillo Pro.
Turn it on
- Add Zillo Pro from Settings → Add-ons if you haven't already.
- Open Settings → Growth.
- Tick Send abandoned-cart reminder emails, choose how many hours to wait, and save.
How it works
When a customer starts checkout but doesn't complete payment, Zillo waits the delay you set (4 hours by default, adjustable from 1 to 168 hours), then sends them one branded reminder with a button back to their cart. Each customer is only emailed once per order, and customers who finish their purchase are never emailed.
The reminder uses your storefront branding automatically. You can edit the wording under Settings → Email once the feature is on.
