Collect product reviews

Let verified customers leave star ratings and reviews on your product pages, moderate them before they appear, and automatically email buyers to ask for one. Free on every plan.

Collect product reviews

Reviews are social proof: a product page with real star ratings converts better than one without. Zillo lets your customers rate and review what they bought, gives you the final say on what appears, and can ask buyers for a review automatically. It's free on every plan.

Turn reviews on for a product

Reviews are off until you enable them per product, so you choose exactly what gets reviewed.

    1. Open the product from Products and edit it.
    2. Under Terms & conditions, tick Let customers leave reviews.
    3. Save. A star rating and reviews section now appear on that product's storefront page.

How customers leave a review

Only verified buyers can review — a customer has to have actually bought the product, on a fulfilled order. They reach the review form either from the review-request email (below) or by returning to the product page after their purchase. Every submission includes the email on their order so Zillo can confirm the purchase.

You approve every review

New reviews arrive as Pending — nothing shows on your storefront until you approve it.

    1. Open Reviews in the sidebar.
    2. Read each pending review.
    3. Hit Publish to show it on the product page, or Reject to hide it.

Published reviews appear with an overall star rating on the product page.

Ask customers for a review automatically

Turn on review-request emails and Zillo will email buyers a while after their order is fulfilled, inviting them to review the products they bought (only ones where you've enabled reviews).

    1. Open Reviews.
    2. Tick Send post-purchase review-request emails and choose how long after fulfilment to wait (72 hours by default).
    3. Save.

Review-request emails are transactional — they only go to people who bought from you — so they're free and don't count as marketing. You can edit the wording under Settings → Email.
